NipponLugano Multitouch

NipponLugano Multitouch is an application entirely dedicated to the Nippon Museum of Lugano,
in Switzerland.

The museum's official website proposes some informative contents in an hypertextual and multimedial way allowing guests to deepen the cultural context of the exhibition, either before or after the
visit.

The aim of this project is to offer the website's contents in an innovative way towards a more
natural interaction exploiting the features of the Microsoft PixelSense (Surface 2.0), a multitouch
surface of the last generation which allows the users to cooperate, recognizing the direction of the touches.

The idea is to put the Surface with our application, inside the museum near the entrance, to tempt potential visitors to buy a ticket after viewing a preview of the exhibition's contents..

This application can be used either in a cooperative way or in a non cooperative way.

Given the dimensions of the surface, the idea is to have users only along the long edges of the
Surface.

The welcome screen recalls the japanese flag.

Example of cooperative scenario, contents are shared between users.
